Traveling Gavel Questions and Answers

Dear Brethren,
Question: "How many brothers does it take to claim the Traveling Gavel?"
Answer: Five Brothers, of which one must be the Master.
Question: What happens if there are two Lodges trying to claim the Gavel at the same time?
Answer: The Lodge that fills the above requirement and has the most members present. In case of a tie than the Lodge with the most officers present will take home the Traveling Gavel.

These Rules are only for District Fourteen.

Lot of Scottich Rite Glasses

Dear Brethren
I know all have received glasses from the Scotish Rite on New Years Day each year. Some of you have large collections and some of you are wanting to start or add to your collections. I'am in the process of helping a good friend of mine (a Masonic Widow) disperse of some items. Namely 40 plus glasses. They range in age as follows: 8 pcs. 1905-1954 the rest range from 1973-2006. Also in cluded are a few commemorative glasses. These will be sold as a lot and not individually. Anyone interested can contact me at home (267-7766). Please leave me a message.
Thanks and God Bless

DDGM Official Visit

Hi, Brothers!

This Saturday, 28 March, is our stated meeting -- and a very important one. Our District Deputy Grand Master, District 14, will be making his official visit to Jeffersontown 774. It is important that we are present to hear his presentation and to support our Deputy.

In addition, with our quest to qualify for the Grand Master's Excellency Award, we can earn ONE of the needed TWELVE (of Nineteen possible) points, IF WE ALL ELEVEN PRESENT. This is one of the easiest points to earn -- but all eleven of us must be present. If one of us is missing, we will need to make up the point with another activity, which will not be as easy to complete. Please make every effort to attend this special meeting.

Thank you for your service to our lodge and to Masonry!
